Hands 2015 to Kick Off in Cambridge, MA & Utica, NY in July

From professional musicians to children hitting the keys for the first time, “Hands” stands as a unique opportunity for people of all ages, skill levels, and walks of life to come together in the name of music. Hands is set to tour eight major cities this year alone – and will kick off on July 18th at the Jill Brown-Rhone Park in Central Square of Cambridge, MA from 1PM-5PM. The following weekend, “Hands” will run in Utica, NY on July 25th from11AM-3PM at the public market held near the train station – and in the coming months will run in Denver, NYC, DC, Chicago, & San Fran.
At the events, participants will be taught how to play a part of an original song on an acoustic piano and filmed as they perform it. In the end, a video will capture the many different hands of the performers (young, old, big, little, etc.) coming together to make one song.
Recently, WKTV interviewed O’Toole on the movement coming to Utica in July and here’s what she had to say:

Individuals of all backgrounds are encouraged to take part in these events — and those will little to no musical experience will be especially welcomed. It is an opportunity to unite in the name of music, and contribute to what is quickly becoming a national phenomenon.
